Kansas Sale Barn Bounces Checks to Consignors


In early February, tens of thousands of dollars in checks issued to more than 40 consignors to the Plainville Livestock Commission, Plainville, Kansas bounced. The checks were endorsed by the stockyard owner, Tyler Gillum.

On February 12, Almena Bank froze two of Plainville Livestock Commission’s bank accounts. On March 1, the Plainville Livestock Commission filed for bankruptcy.
