Larger Share of Seed Royalties Will Go To MSU Breeders

Sixty five percent of royalties on crop variety licenses from Montana State University research will now go into the pockets of the seed breeders.

The Cultivar Development Research Program routes 30 percent of the royalties generated when MSU licenses crop varieties to commercial partners and puts it toward university crop breeding programs.
