Legally Harvested Wolf 300 Miles From Normal Range


A 70 pound female gray wolf was legally shot by a hunter near Glasgow, Montana on January 7.  Wildlife officials said this is more than 300 miles from the Rocky Mountain Front where wolves are typically found in Montana.

Fish Wildlife and Parks (FWP) spokesman Marc Kloker said it’s the first wolf to be harvested in Northeast Montana since federal protections
